On August 7, 1947, in Beggs, Oklahoma, Efton and Frances (Pete) Daniels welcomed a precious baby boy into the world. They named him David Jordan Daniels; he was the sixth oldest of 12 siblings. Under the tutelage of Christian parents, David professed his hope in Christ at an early age, as a member of Spring Bluff Baptist Church.

David was raised in Beggs, OK and attended Morning Star Elementary School in the Pete Hill Community and graduated from Wheatly High School in 1966. After graduation, David made Tulsa, OK his permanent home. He married twice, and fathered two sons whom he loved dearly, Donnell Daniels and Rodney Daniels. He had a successful career across several industries in Tulsa including the Housing Authority, Rockwell International and eventually retiring from Mathey Dearman, Inc. David was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church for 25+ years, where he served as a greeter.

David met no strangers. He was a generous and giving person, always willing to help others. As the Daniels Family historian, he skillfully collected stories of the family, able to recite them down to the smallest detail.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Efton & Frances Daniels; four brothers, Andrew Daniels, Wilmer “Will” Daniels, Bennie Daniels & Frank Daniels; one sister Ella Compton; one granddaughter, Keyara Daniels.

He leaves to continue his legacy and cherish his memory, his companion of 33 years, Louise Sanders; sons Donnell (Michelle) Daniels and Rodney Daniels; one bonus son Eric Payne; ten grandchildren, Samira, Danielle, Davion, Mandel, Slade, Miracle, Quincy, Larissa, Aliyah, Brooke; two great-grandchildren; three Brothers, Clarence (Linda) Daniels, Troy Daniels, Tommy (Dawn) Daniels; four Sisters, Elnora “Nora” Burns, Beverly Wilson, Linda Rice, Gail Daniels; a lifelong friend James Gibbs; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family & friends.
