Obituary

Ina Belle Sage passed away August 31st. She was born January 15, 1923, in Tulsa. She was a proud graduate of the first graduating class of Will Rogers High School. She met her husband Bill in 1942 and they were married for 59 years raising their family of three children in east Tulsa. Ina Belle also worked in the restaurant and cafeteria industry as restaurant cook and manager. She worked at JC Penney’s Southland’s Café where she retired as a manager after more than sixteen years. She also worked in food preparation with the Tulsa Public Schools for three years. She loved people in her work and the community. A devoted and proud mother and grandmother, she was an avid square dancer, ceramic artist, seamstress, knitter, crocheter and fisherman. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish from 1952-1962, and St. Pius X Parish from 1962-2011. Ina Belle was a resident at Woodland Terrace and Parks Edge Nursing Center for the past ten years. The family is eternally grateful for the kindness care she received there from staff and residents. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill (2001); and her brother J. Holland (2006). She is survived by her sisterin-law Wilma Holland, her son Howard Sage (Lynne), daughters Debbie Roach and Patti Tombridge and her seven grandchildren (Kimberly, John, Jeffrey, Kristina, William, Megan and Kathryn) and five great grandchildren. Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 7th 11:00am-8:00pm at Stanley’s Funeral Service, 3159 E. 31st St. Memorial Service is at 10:00am Thursday, September 8th with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
