Obituary

On September 1st, 2020 we lost a brother, father, son and friend.

Joseph Robert Spencer was born December 3rd, 1971 to Ronald Spencer and Betty Angus (Seymour) in Watertown, New York. He spent his younger years excelling in his academics and was placed in the gifted student classes. He went on to be an extremely talented writer, guitarist, and photographer. Joseph had many talents, and a huge heart to help whenever he could.

He is survived by his mother, Betty, and his siblings, Cindy Putnam, Jeffrey Spencer, RJ Spencer and Ronnie Spencer. He is also survived by his only child, Lexa R. Spencer.

Joseph was a charismatic, out-going, funny man and he will be truly missed by all.

If you knew our Joey, you would know a funeral is the last thing he would’ve wanted, so a celebration will take place at the families discretion.

  1. I was very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I grew up with him when I lived on Academy St and he was on Boyd St. Many will miss him, I’m glad to have known him, he was a sweet young man. Gone too early for sure.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear that Joe has passed. Prayers for your family. Joe was a very sweet young man when I knew him in junior high. We were in puppy love back then hanging out on Boyd St. I’m sorry I lost touch with him over the years. Joe I hope you’re at peace and you watch over your family until you can be together again.

Still waiting to wake up from this awful dream. Or for you to pop and say you were in trouble so you faked the whole thing.. I miss you Dad. I can’t even begin to explain how heavy everything feels without you.. I just want you back so badly. It’s not fair
