What wasn't mentioned in your obit was your love of your whole family, your church at True Baptist in Sand Springs, and your love and talent with quilting. You made quilts for each of your children and their families, and often took part in quilting for the needy with the ladies of your church. Church was a very important part of your life and you attended as long as your health permitted.
You were an Air Force wife, and you served your country by following your husband wherever they sent him, and by keeping those home fires burning while he was overseas. Thank you for your service!
I'll miss you, Mom. And you were a second Mom to me since 1977. I've felt a huge hole in my life since you left. I remember the good times we had, the shared experiences, the laughter, the faith in God. I remember the time we went to Belk's and looked at the marked down dresses. We came around the aisle each carrying the same dress. We looked at each other and laughed. And we both bought our dresses declaring we'd be the Bobsey Twins.
Rest in peace, Mom, until we see each other again.
