Patricia Ann “Pat” Dooley, made the final journey home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to rejoice with her family and friends in Heaven, at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 11th, 2015. Pat was born in Coffeyville Kansas on December 4th, 1933. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1952, and she married Bennett “Vernon” Dooley, on May 2nd, 1953. Pat and Vernon started the first of their 62 years together on what they referred to as their 9 month honeymoon. Pat traveled with Vernon across several states for the first nine months of their marriage on his job as an auto parts sales representative, while residing on weekends in Lawton Ok. They eventually settled in Tulsa when Vernon started work for Brant Co. Realtors, owned by Pat’s mother and father. She was a beloved and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Pat was also the predecessor of today’s “soccer moms”, as she drove her children, their friends, and numerous neighborhood kids to their athletic contests and practices, school events and church activities, in her trusty behemoth, the 9 passenger (or 13 kids) station wagon. Pat enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including: RV-ing, camping, water-skiing, motorcycle riding, and sightseeing. Pat loved cooking, shopping, Branson Mo., and attending Oklahoma Sooner football games with her husband Vernon, sons David and Bryan, daughter-in-law Judy, and brother and sister-in-law, R.L. and Marie Dooley. She was a faithful member of Sheridan Road Baptist Church for over 40 years, a church nursery worker who loved children, and a founding member of Sheridan Roads “Motorcycle Gang.” Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Audrey Brant, infant daughter Sandra Kay Dooley, brother William “Bill” Brant, sister-in-law Sherry Brant, brother-in-law R.L. Dooley, and grandson Brett Layne Dooley (USMC). She is survived by her husband Vernon Dooley, sons David (Judy) and Bryan (Lynne) Dooley, grandchildren Luke, Coy (Amber) and Cara Dooley, and Daxon Chapman. Great-grandchildren Skylar Dooley, Danica Sims, Sabrina Davis, and Reece Chapman, “Sister”-in-law, Marie Dooley, nephews, Bill and Ben Dooley, and nieces Lisa Smith Brant and Linda Laurent Brant. Our family will be forever grateful to the nurses, aides, and support staff of Saint Francis Hospitals 6th floor senior specialty care unit, and the Saint Francis emergency room nurses and personnel who cared for both her and our father, and who gracefully and methodically arranged for Pat and Vernon to spend the final hours of their 62 years together. May the Lord bless each and every one of you and your families for the kindness, grace and mercy, which you lovingly bestowed upon our parents. Funeral services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, Tulsa, Oklahoma at 2:00 P.M., Monday July 27, 2015, Reverend Steve Lewis, presiding. Services are under the direction of Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Condolences may be left on the guestbook on this page.
