Obituary

Rosa Sifuentes was born on March 29. 1934 in Torreon, Mexico. She passed away on April 20, 2023.

Work opportunity, for her husband, brought Rosa and her five children to Tulsa, Ok. from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Soon after, Rosa found work in the childcare area and later in building maintenance. She learned the English language thru work, newspaper and television. This resulted in a lifetime of helping other Hispanic people throughout her home and work relations. Rosa had a natural ability/ gift to satisfy a great many people with her cooking. She invented different ways to cook ordinary Hispanic foods into absolute life changing experiences. Her favorite way of thanking people, that were helpful or just kind to her, was to cook them a meal. She has left a lifetime of food secrets to her children. Rosa was a tireless helper in any way that she could. Even after her retirement, she would help with a mobile medical facility (Good Samaritan), that would frequent her neighborhood. There was always someone in need of her interpretation skills. She made friends everywhere she went, whether at work, shopping, cab rides or on the city bus. She looked after her family during many stormy trials. Her faith in God led her to never give up on anyone or any situation this life presented to her. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic church for thirty plus years in person, as well as live streaming during her final year of life. Her life lessons for her family, and those that knew her, will be felt and appreciated for generations to come. Thank You God for Rosa (Mommy).
