Obituary

Russell Allen Grayson, Jr. was born to Russell Allen and Callie (Avery) Grayson in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 8, 1948. Mr. Grayson passed away on January 21, 2016 in Tulsa.

Russell graduated in 1966 from McClain High School. He also played football through high school. Russell served his country honorably in the US Army and the US Navy. He was a man of many talents. He was a hard worker, a welder as well as a maintenance worker for Yale Manor. He loved his family. A proud father of four children and papa to his grandchildren. He really enjoyed sitting around with family eating and visiting. His two Pitbull’s were one of his joys, they played together and enjoyed taking walks. Russell was a good hearted man that was greatly loved and will be very much missed.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kerri Grayson.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl Ann Grayson of the home; children: Terry Grayson, Brandon Grayson, Russell Grayson III, Jessica Grayson, Katesha Childers; grandchildren: T’Angela Childers, Marcives Grayson, MyKaupia Maples; siblings: Herbert Howard, Patricia Boylan, Donald Grayson, Jean Grayson, and Brenda Grayson along with a host of other family and dear friends.

    I just heard about Russells passing from one of my residents at The Villas At Yorktown. I worked with Russell at the Vilas at Yorktown for several years until he retired from ASC. I think of him often and always wonder what he is up to. He was liked by all that knew him. My thoughts and sympathies go out you all.
