Obituary

Sam F Galtuza Jr, 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma joined his wife, Mary, in heaven on February 16, 2024. Sam was born on March 12, 1945 to Sam Sr and Ethel Galutza in Helena, AR. He graduated from Helena High School. He had a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He owned a business, Cookie Bouquet, all while being a supervisor at the U.S. Postal Service. Even upon selling his business and retiring from the Post Office, Sam continued working. He had multiple paper routes and magazine routes. He instilled this work ethic in his family across all generations. He met his late wife Mary through his sister Pat. Their first date was at a sock hop and the rest was history. Sam and Mary had three wonderful children; Tony, Sue and Teresa. Through those three children, Sam gained seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sam loved his family dearly and was an active part of every one of their lives. He enjoyed bowling going to OU football games, the casino and taking family vacations to Florida, Tunica, Vegas, Shreveport and he especially loved cruises with his whole crew. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Sam Sr and Ethel Galutza; and brothers, Marshall and Dean Galutza. He is survived by his sister, Pat Graham and husband Greg Graham; children, Tony Galutza, Teresa Hay and Husband Mike Hay, Susan McCormick and husband Spook McCormick; grandchildren, Lindsey Caple, Lauren Woolard and husband Nathan Woolard, Anthony Galutza, Haylee Pittman and husband Jeremiah Pittman, Michael Galutza, Samantha Galutza Mackenzie McCormick; and his great grandchildren, Andie Woolard and October Pittman. Services will be held at Butler-Stumpff on Friday, February 23rd and 1pm with burial to follow. We kindly ask that you wear Oklahoma Sooners or Dallas Cowboys gear in honor of him if possible.
