Obituary

Troy Brown was born on May 31, 1974, in Los Angeles, California to Natalie McKinnon and Johnny Bentley, Sr. He graduated in 1992 from George Washington Preparatory High School. While in high school, he played football. After graduating, he became a truck driver, traveling the world which was something that he really enjoyed doing.

He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He had a great bond with his children and other children that looked up to him as a father figure. Troy touched many lives with his big heart and great personality. Troy will truly be missed!

Troy was getting to know the Lord and to see the change that he was making was really something special. On Monday, April 8, Troy was called to His Heavenly Home. Meeting him at Heaven’s gates was his mother, Natalie, father, JOhnny, Sr., grandmother, Lenora, half-sister, Tanuneka, and his son, Sir Leo.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his special love, Jasmine B., 9 children: Michael, Daijah, Troy Jr., Troya, Lashae, Travion, Taevion, A’Shari, and Zakiah; 2 sisters: Tyesha and Keyaltyna; 4 brothers: Michael, Richard, Johnny Jr., and Jacob; stepfather, Michael,Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Services for Troy will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home at 1pm.
