Obituary

With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, we announce the passing of our kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Wanda Lee Dixon. She left this world suddenly December 26, 2023 at the age of 68.

She was the first born to Lillian Darlene Nelson and Lee Dixon on August 29, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from high school, Wanda chased her dreams to serve the healthcare community for over 30 years.

Her memory lives on with her 4 children: Tangela, Torea, Tamika, and Joseph. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great grand-dog.

Wanda was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Famous for her sweet potatoes pies. Wanda enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, sewing, and shopping at Walmart.

She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed.
